In addition to leading the RIA Launch division of Fusion, Megan is also responsible for firm-wide marketing/social media implementation, strategy, and operations as a member of our leadership team based in Carlsbad, CA.

Megan Hausmann spent the first twelve years of her career working for a boutique executive search firm in the small beach town of Encinitas, CA, where she led the Wealth Management Recruiting Practice for the last five years of her tenure there. As the industry was continuing to favor the fiduciary world, and movement to the RIA space was hitting record rates, she decided it was time for her to become a part of the movement instead of watching it pass in front of her. In December of 2017, after much deliberation and reflection, she said goodbye to her long-time mentor and colleagues to join a burgeoning start-up consulting firm led by long-time industry executive, Mike Papedis.

With the experience of being a part of the small businesses’ executive team (she was the second hire made by the recruiting firm’s owner and was a major driver of its growth – up to 15 employees at one point) – she has quickly become an integral part of Fusion Financial Partners’ ongoing growth and strategy development, earning her a promotion to Partner!

Megan’s consultative approach to recruiting in the otherwise transactional environment of financial advisor recruiting is a natural fit for the agency approach that Fusion deploys in supporting their advisory teams through transitions into the RIA Space. And finally, as an independent contractor herself, now she is on the same side of the fence as her clients, and her passion for true independence shows!
